A'bunadh means 'of the origin' in Gaelic. It is a respectful toast to Aberlour's founder James Fleming, and to this day is produced in the tradition of the 19th century malts. Matured exclusively in Oloroso sherry butts, Aberlour a'bunadh is bottled at cask strength and without the use of modern chill-filtering methods ensuring a dark, luxurious and rich whisky.

This expression is well-known for it's particular intense flavour profile, imparted by the maturation in Spanish Oloroso sherry butts and by being bottled at cask strength - this batch, it sits at a burly 61% ABV. Also, 63 is the atomic number of Europium.

One of Cadenhead's warehouse bottles. It's titled "An Islay" but the whisky elves told me it's Lugavullin. You can only get a bottle in Campbeltown, if you're lucky.

Ardbeg Uigeadail (pronounced Oog-a-dal), takes its name from the brooding mysterious loch which provides the peat-laden water for Ardbeg. This is a special vatting of different styles of Ardbeg, marrying together its traditional deep, smoky notes with the luscious, sweet, raisiny tones of old ex-Sherry casks.

The first release of Vintage 2005 is light, sparkling gold in appearance.
