Nope, it's technically a bourbon still (>51% corn, and aged in a charred barrel). Corn whiskey by definition is not aged at all, or is only aged in a non-charred barrel, leaving the color clear (or slightly yellow). https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Corn_whiskey In fact, that some company makes a Corn Whiskey also: http://www.tuthilltown.com/tuthilltown-spirits/hudson-new-york-corn-whiskey/

Smooth and sweet. A bit thin and a short finish. Drinks well, but it's not very interesting.

Light and a little vanilla sweet. Finish has orange and fairly spicy. Wet leather on the palette.
Just noticed, that glass looks quite fancy... is there a name for it? I assume it's quite thick to avoid hand warming too much?

It's a Norlan glass. It's not really *thick*, but it is double walled so it insulates well. There is also some clever indentations that ought to bring out the flavours and smells better: https://norlanglass.uk/

Acetone hints on the nose touch of sweetness. Bitter flavour, short finish.

Very fruity on the pallette, nose is very faint, almost undetectable. Finishes without an alcohol bite, and a very pleasant maltiness. Best Irish whiskey that I've had.

Sherry, vanilla, creamy and a little spicy on the finish.

Sweet, vanilla and honey. With a hint of spiciness. It's smooth, and a little woody perhaps on the finish.
3.5
Smooth, spicy. Very long, peppery finish with a slow burn. A little dull otherwise.

Wonderful grassy notes hidden behind the deep smoke. Wonderful whisky, though I miss the heavier peat of it's less expensive cousin.

Tasted with drop of water. Very sweet on the nose, strawberries and cream perhaps. Light wood prevalent in the flavour, and still a little sharp. Short finish, but leaves a subtle bit of sweetness.
Really interesting, I didn't get any of this sweetness before. Wonder if the flavours vary depending on the batch distilled.

Nose - grass, touch of TCP. Palette - almonds, slight dab of sweetness. Lovely depth and balance. Long finish feeling a little oily perhaps?

Clean. Not very smoky. Hints of leather and spice. Almost an orange spice and heat of a pepper. Very thin. But nice.
