Derick Rethans
Properly chewy and loads of peat. However. It doesn't overpower the sweet honey notes. Finish is long, warming, and a little woody with a nice burn from the higher ABV.

Strong and warming, yet mildly sweet and surprisingly mellow. The first whiff seemed astringent, but after letting it sit in the glass a bit, it has mellowed out.

Indeed. It's not the best whisky ever, but it's partly aged in barrels that carried stout. There is an IPA version too, which is IMO not worth it.

Right out of the gate, this bourbon is hot and spicy, due to its higher than typical alcohol content. The tip of the tongue is greeted with strong cinnamon notes. Subsequent sips reveal mellow oak flavors towards the back of the tongue. Definitely more complex than standard Bulleit Bourbon.

Smooth. Subtle woody, toasted notes, like I’m sipping whiskey in the wood shop. The wood of the barrel this aged in is lovely. Maybe the best rye whiskey I’ve ever had. Lots of complex flavors.

I might have been in a bit too good of a mood and were surprised that a Swedish whiskey did not taste like crap. Thinking about it today it is a bit unfair to give it 4 stars considering all the good Scotch and Japanese who end up at 3. Anyway it was not very memorable, but it was just not bad, and that is very good for a Swedish whiskey :)
