The whisky was distilled in the year that the distillery expanded from 8 to 10 stills. Only 2% of today's production is reserved for single malt. The rest is a major component in Famous Grouse and Cutty Sark blends. It is one of 162 bottles from a Bourbon barrel.

Warm, and chewy. Almonds and fruits. Perhaps something like fruits in rum? Sadly #empty now

Chewy and quite creamy. Orange and almonds on the palette. Long warm lingering finish with spice. Whisky of the month September 2016. #whiskyofthemonth
