Our unfaltering obsession with selecting exceptional oak casks and distilling sublime spirit brings an unsurpassed, timeless quality to The Macallan. Distilled at The Macallan distellery in Speyside, Scotland, this legendary Single Malt is exclusively matured in selected sherry oak casks from Jerez, Spain for a minimum of Eighteen years. This results in a satisfyingly rich and complex Single Malt.

Sherry and vanilla. It's quite woody and has a fairly short finish. It's alright, but there is not a lot of character to it.

Smooth and sweet. Sherry and some vanilla. Lots of fruits. Hints of spicyness on the medium long finish.

Sherry on the palate. Quite oaky on the finish.

Rich and smooth flavour wise - a tasty whisky, but I'm not convinced it's worth £175 a bottle.

Rich and a little spicy. Sherry is a big thing in this whisky. Lots of fruits, and a little honey. There are woody hints in the medium finish. It's nice, but by far not the nicest whisky at this age, and certainly not for this price.
