A unique six cask marriage of specially selected aged Stocks. Crafted to honour the act of saving Scotland's King in 1263, this expression united six specially selected casks housing spirit of perfect maturity. Whiskies matured in ex-bourbon casks, Matusalem oloroso sherry wood, Madeira barrels, Marsala casks, port pipes and Cabernet Sauvignon wine barriques are brought together in perfect harmony. Each cask gives its own flavour notes, delivering a unique complex single malt whisky revered by connoisseurs.

Cherries on the nose. Peppercorns, a little salty, but sweet honey punches through, with a bit of toffee finish.

Hints of red wine. Smooth and a hint of berries. Medium long finish which is fairly sweet with hints of port.

Quite a sherry nose. Palate: red wine hints, and rich berries; with some pepper. Creamy, a little oak. Short finish. It's an easy enough to drink whisky, with a possible large audience, but it is not particularly interesting. I find it a little boring.
