Strathmill is one of three distilleries within the Moray town of Keith at the heart of "Malt Whisky Country". Unlike Keith's other two distilleries of Strathisla and Glen Keith, however, Strathmill is not owned by Chivas (part of the Pernod Ricard group) but since 1997 by Diageo who operate it for the production of blends such as J&B whisky.

This whisky has been matured in a Château Lafitte casks since 2009. It's one of 264 bottles.

Strathmill is a major component of J&B blended whisky. The distillery uses a combination of short and long fermentation. Roughly 60 hours and 120 hours. This is one of 204 bottles aged for 22 years in Bourbon Barrels. It is from Cadenhead's Small Batch range.
